The Quant 23 is one of the first racers to master every sailing mode - displacement, planning, semi-foiling and full-foiling. Good natured and forgiving, the Quant 23 was designed with amateur sailors in mind and is the perfect platform to introduce yourself to foiling sailing, needing less than 10 knots of wind.
"The idea is simply a boat that anyone half way experienced can leap into and ten minutes later they're flying" - Hugh Welbourn, designer.
This example of the Quant 23 was imported in 2017 complete with it's slick 'Ford vs Ferrari' decals, and has spent it's life on the RBYC hardstand, only being sailed a handful of times. It comes with the standard factory setup of main, self-tacking jib & gennaker, and includes trailer and lifting straps, making this boat ready to be launched via ramp or crane and sailed straight away.
Equipped with a carbon rig from C-Tech, Ronstan hardware & Dacron Landenberger Sails, this nimble foiler only weighs 330kg and can be easily sailed with 1-3 crew. With both a fixed keel and Q-foils, 80-90% of the 'balance work' is done by the boat, leaving minimal work for the crew so they can enjoy the ride.
"The Quant 23 is a boat that puts the sparkle back into everyman sailing, whether you want to fly or not" - Toby Hodges, Yachting World
Whether you're looking for a unique fast racer or an introduction to foiling, the Quant 23 could be the boat for you.
