SONATA 26  

I have for sale a Sonata 26 Trailer Sailer yacht. If you are not familiar with these boats do some research and you'll find they have a lot going for them. There was over 600 Sonata's of various models produced in Australia. Many are still around today giving testament to their quality and popularity.

Heidi is one of the best presented yachts of her kind available on the market today. Heidi has almost always been stored undercover and has been only in the water a few weeks each year. Custom hardwood interior fittings including a compact kitchen a large fold out hardwood table.

The Sonata 26 is a very sought after Trailer Sailer. They are safe, large and roomy. Being one of the bigger trailer yachts Heidi opens up so many options to the new owner. Heidi could be towed almost anywhere in Australia with a boat ramp and launched. She will accommodate 6 and is set up for extended cruising with Solar Panels, Engle fridge 110lt water storage and porta potty. Imagine sailing the Whitsundays in winter and Gippsland Lakes in Summer or even Tassie and South Australia. Weekends on Port Philip or Westernport Bay or even on your local lakes. Heidi has a lifting center board which allows her to float in less than 30cm making for easy beach access and launching.

No need for an expensive Marina berth when she can be stored almost anywhere you can fit the trailer. The Mackay trailer is in excellent condition and rated to 2680kg. It comes near new light truck tyres and with a $2000+ Electric/hydraulic (breakaway) braking system for easy towing. By far the best system for a big trailer.

Heidi comes complete and ready to sail today. She has several near new sails and a furling jib (main sail as new, furling jib VGC, hank on storm sail, 2nd jib VGC and a hardly used spinnaker). There's a recently serviced and reliable 10hp Mercury "Sailpower" long leg outboard with charging circuit. Rigging and deck fittings are in great condition. The pop top provides standing room of 1.9m below deck.
