66FT TIMBER MOTOR CRUISER HUGE POTENTIAL  

WHAT AN OPPORTUNITY!!! A magnificently built ex Maritime Services Board of NSW Pilot vessel, launched in 1959, and now presentling the next custodian with huge upside potential!!
Complete the current re-fit and use as a waterfront apartment and very spacious liveaboard, recreate the era of true gentlemens cruisers re-fitting the vessel out to reflect its history or finishing the direction the current/recent owners have done making Girralong into a very comfortable long distance coastal cruiser.
In its current format, the vessel from the original wheel house (this is still like a small ships bridge station) has been extended aft so now offering a large saloon/lounge area with adjacent galley, this is equipped to a domestic kitchen standard, plus dinette seating then full bathroom and toilet just for'ard including an area for the washing machine.
Access is via the wheeelhuse or easily through the aft deck with full door, the aft deck also offering a great relaxation area whether under way or at anchor, even giving an alfresco feel here.
The accomodoation extends to two massive sleeping quaters below decks, one for'ard below the wheel house, which is also fitted with an enclosed toilet and large double berth and the aft cabin with access from the saloon has again a very large double berth. The potential to upgrade both cabins is enormous with great space to accomodate multiple berths.
The engine room is amazing as one would expect given the vessels heritage, plenty of headroom, plus easy walkaroud access to the Caterpillar 6 cylinder turbo 425 hp diesel which was re-built in 2014 and has only done under 1000 hours since, a Kubota Lowboy generator is also fitted, theres 5000 litres of fuel in 2 steel tanks (currently almost full), 2000 litres of water, many of the house batteries were new in 2023, plus the vessel is wired for 12/24V and 240V, solar panels, the list goes on.
The electronics have aslo been upgraded recenlty plus the hydraulic systems have all been fully serviced.
A survey completed in June 2023 for insurance purposes states "the vessel was profesionally built to a very high standard using the best materails available including especially sleceted timbers". A copy of the survey is available to genuine parties.
