The 247OE takes the top-selling 24-foot Masters hull and applies the Open Edition treatment that started on the flagship. Same 7.42-metre hull, same 2.57-metre beam, same 0.36-metre draft and 350-horsepower rating, with an extended console carrying a two-person chaise lounge and a 256-litre insulated coffin box on gas struts, finished on both sides.
The chaise is a proper lounger rather than a bench: fold-down armrests, grab rails, and enough length for two adults to stretch out. It replaces the standard forward console seat, and the storage underneath it is the kind of capacity a 24-foot bay boat has no business having. A 57-litre bow livewell joins the twin 95-litre aquarium wells at the transom.
The honest trade is deck space. The extended console takes a bite from the forward casting platform, so if the bow is where the fishing happens, the standard 247 remains the better tool. Sportsman keeps both in the range for exactly that reason. If the boat spends its weekends with family aboard as often as it spends its mornings on a flat, the OE is the smarter buy.
Everything else follows the new Sportsman design language: an open bow with a step-up casting deck, a large rear deck, a fibreglass hardtop with moulded navigation lights, spreader lights and rocket launchers, an enclosed lockable head, an integrated tempered glass windscreen with manual vent, trolling motor pre-wiring in the anchor hatch, and SportLink with factory Garmin and JL Audio. No-wood all-fibreglass construction with a 10-year limited hull warranty.
