The 263 was built to tackle the Southern Ocean. Based on the 243, Erick extended the hull to 26 ft 3 in (8m), added a wider gunwale-top deck, and redesigned the dash.
True 8-Metre Performance

It's a true 8m boat--no pod or trim tabs needed. It sits low and stable at rest, but gets out of the hole and performs with serious horsepower.
