12m Twin Screw Aluminium Barge

RANGER is an 11.9m self propelled aluminium barge with a 4.5m beam, in 2D survey for 4 crew. Her flat bottomed hull is foam filled for positive flotation, and her open, flat working deck is fitted with tie-down tracks and lashing points for securing cargo and equipment.

Built in-house by the Vendor's fabricators, she is powered by twin Honda 200HP V-TEC outboards with roughly 600 hours each, giving her a top speed of over 20 knots. She carries 180 litres of fuel in an under-deck tank and is helmed from an enclosed aluminium wheelhouse aft, with hydraulic steering and bench seating. Spigots are fitted down either side of the deck, which can be used for safety rails if required (rails not supplied).

She is a rugged commercial design, with an open deck and good visibility from the raised wheelhouse. With 400HP across wide-set outboards, she has good manoeuvrability and impressive pushing capacity for moving gear around the worksite.

With her flat bottom, fast transit speed and clear deck, she is well suited to marine construction support, mooring work and the transport of materials and equipment in smooth and partially smooth waters.
