Bountiful Lady - Trawler

This is a fantastic opportunity to purchase a well-proven 23.97-metre prawn trawler, currently based in Cairns and licensed to operate in the Northern Prawn Fishery (NPF).
Bountiful Lady was built at the Kali Shipyards in Adelaide SA in 1980 and is one of three unique sisterships constructed to this design. She has worked continuously in the NPF since her launch and has proven herself to be a highly successful and reliable vessel.
Powered by a Cummins KT38M 550hp main engine with an MG530 Twin Disc gearbox, the vessel also features two Cummins 6CTA auxiliary engines coupled with 200kVA and 185kVA alternators.
The vessel boasts impressive freezing capacity, with one 8-cylinder Sabro reciprocal compressor and one Bitzer screw compressor servicing: Two x 200 carton aluminium snap freezers (5,000kg) and one x 150-carton (2,000kg) deck snap freezer. The vessel also has two below deck brine tanks that hold a total of 15,000kg. Together, this refrigeration system can freeze over 20 tonnes of prawns in 24 hours, which is a major advantage during peak catch periods. The main freezer holds up to 25 tonnes of frozen product, with fuel capacity of 61,000 litres and 10,000 litres of fresh water on board. A Northern Prawn Fishery licence is available to purchase with the vessel or could be offered as a long-term lease option.
Bountiful Lady is ready to fish and may also be modified for other fisheries, including fish trawling or Scampi fishing in New Zealand.
