'Samara' is a stylish blend of old and ultra chic, with that New York city apartment vibe, mixed with a bit of history.
Starting life as 'Te Rauparaha' she was built in New Zealand in 1938 for a wealthy family as their private boat. However during the Second World War she was requisitioned as a patrol boat by the New Zealand Navy and wore the insignia 'Q07'. After the war she was handed back to the family and in 1979 she departed New Zealand and headed over to New Caledonia where she started her new life as 'Samara'.
For the next few years she was used for tourist excursions to Amedee Lighthouse. More recently she has undergone a complete overhaul down to the smallest details and all supervised by a marine surveyor.
- The hull and deck were redone, laminated and epoxy coated on all exterior surfaces.
- The electrical and water circuits were all reviewed and replaced.
- New Northern Light 5KVA Genset in 2022
- Engines fully reconditioned
- New custom made living space
'Samara' is definitely a stand out from the crowd boat. Nothing but the best quality materials were used and the result is an exceptionally unique boat.
