Jeanneau NC 33 Twin Diesel, just 105 hours

If you've been looking for a genuine all-season cruiser that's as happy on a quick run to Rottnest as it is on a lazy weekend up the Swan, the Jeanneau NC 33 ticks every box. Everything is on one level from the cockpit through to the helm, so living aboard is easy and entertaining is a pleasure, whether the Fremantle Doctor is blowing or not.

COCKPIT
The versatile layout starts at the stern, where the rear cockpit lounge cleverly slides back over the swim board, adding significant space to the teak-laid cockpit. Slide it forward and you've got the full swim platform for a dip at Thomson Bay; slide it back and there's room for the whole crew to relax under the cockpit awning. Engine access couldn't be easier: simply lift the rear deck and both engines are right there.

PERFORMANCE
Twin Volvo Penta D3-220 diesels on duoprop stern drives, with just 105 engine hours, have her sprinting to 30 knots while delivering the economy and reliability only diesel brings. Zipwake active trim tabs keep her level and comfortable as conditions change.

HELM
The helm station is well equipped with a Raymarine LightHouse 3 GPS chart plotter, Raymarine VHF marine radio, Zipwake controls and QUICK bow thruster controls. The adjustable helm seat lets you stand or sit comfortably, and a sliding side door gives the skipper quick and easy access to the deck for docking. It also delivers great airflow through the saloon on warm days.

SALOON & GALLEY
Light floods the saloon through the large windows and two manually sliding sunroofs, fitted with a fly screen and blockout shade.

The galley sits to starboard, adjacent to the sliding rear door, so it's perfectly placed for serving the cockpit. It features an ENO twin-hob gas stove, ENO gas oven, stainless steel sink and mixer, below-bench Dometic fridge and storage, with overhead cupboards for additional space. A clever touch: the galley bench top lowers to hide the stove and sink, creating a handy extra bench.

To port, the L-shaped lounge and free-standing table make a great spot for meals or a drink after a day on the water. The forward seat cleverly converts from an aft-facing lounge to a forward-facing high seat for two when you're underway.

ACCOMMODATION
Two steps take you down to the cabins and head. In the companionway is a tall cupboard housing a second fridge and more storage. Hull windows bring plenty of light and airflow throughout the cabins.

There are two queen-size berths: a midship cabin and the master stateroom forward with an island queen. To port is a nicely finished bathroom with modern vanity and separate shower stall. The electric toilet can be covered when showering so it stays dry, and the cover doubles as a seat if needed. Hot water is supplied by a QUICK 25L hot water system.
