MUSTANG 3800 SPORTS TOP RARE HARD TOP WITH SUBMERSIBLE SWIMBOARD  SOLD

The Mustang 3800 Royale is an exceptional short term liveaboard boat designed in Australia for our boating lifestyle. They are ideal for a small family for weekend adventures or equally good with a bunch of friends for a canal cruise or Rotto day trip.

This rare Sports Cabin model provides a low maintenance fibreglass moulded hard top with an electric sunroof which avoids the need for the canvas bimini typically seen on this style of boat. It also offers better insulation from the summer heat and water proofing when cruising on these inclement days. At night you can open the sunroof and enjoy the stars. Large fixed glass windows provide plenty of clear vision for the skipper and guests to enjoy the surroundings while underway or at rest.

There are two outside seating area, a U-shaped lounge with table on the upper 'skippers' level and another in the lower cockpit area which opens onto an enormous swimboard. A versatile saloon table can be used either in the saloon or outside on the rear deck - a really sociable layout.

One of my favourite features of the Mustang 3800 is the queen size midship berth. Probably one of the best in class for this size boat. Plenty of headroom above the bed and opening hatches for ventilation so you don't feel claustrophobic. Current owners say they happily spend a week onboard, she is such an ergonomic layout that you don't feel like you are on top of one another.

Having owned and sold new Mustangs I thoroughly enjoyed annual cruises to Quindalup on my 3800. The hulls handle the sou-westers well and the boats are reasonably light for their size providing a more economical ride than many of their competitors. Her current owners have enjoyed the ease of manoeuvrability the stern drives combined with the thruster give this boat, making backing into the pen, even on windy days, easy.

The 'Royale' model features gloss cherry cupboard doors coupled with light cream coloured cabinetry and faux leather lounges, all in great condition. A guest double berth is located in the bow and the lounge opposite the master bed can be used as a single berth providing sleeping for five.

A Kohler genset provides 240V AC power to run your electric galley and ducted reverse cycle airconditioning, together with any home appliances you can't live without.

A fantastic feature I was not previously familiar with is the 'Easy Tender Lift' system mounted on the rear of the fixed swimboard. Simple in design and operation, her current owners said this was a game changer when they installed it. This device provides a submersible platform for storing, launching and retrieving a small tender without impacting on the rest of the vessel but more importantly, once lowered it's an extension of the existing platform, a place to sit in the water with drink in hand. It makes getting out of the water much easier than trying to exit via a ladder - the kids love it!

Service history is comprehensive. Current owners have enjoyed many years of boating in an around Mandurah on this beautiful boat and are now ready for a spell of inland adventures
