Alden 47 Ketch
"Hawaiki" is a magnificent timber ketch, built in NZ Kauri in 1971 and beautifully restored 2020 - 2022. The John Alden design has very pretty lines and a sturdy full keel with 3.5 tonne lead ballast. She is ketch rigged with masthead main and mizzen. She is powered by a Volvo 100 hp diesel and has a bow thruster. Standing rigging was replaced in 2023, along with the main and mizzen sails. The refurbished and charming teak interior features 2 cabins and a huge saloon with dining/lounge and chart table.
"Hawaiki" is an impressive and eye-catching yacht with blue water in her veins.
