'First Priority' is a 2004 Beneteau First 44.7, listed exclusively for sale with YOTI on Sydney Harbour.
Designed by Bruce Farr, the Beneteau First 44.7 is a highly regarded cruiser/racer, equally at home on the racecourse or cruising the coast in comfort. Known for its balanced performance and practical layout, the First 44.7 remains a popular choice for sailors who want versatility without compromise.
First Priority presents as a well-prepared example, with significant work completed over the past two years and recent upgrades to ensure she's ready for her next owner.
New skin fittings, all new seacocks and hoses
New cabin top hatches, cut & polish, gelcoat repairs, new interior taps
Raymarine electronics upgrade including Axiom2 Pro 9S chart plotter, EV-400 autopilot, 3 x i70s multifunction displays and 2 x Alpha 9 performance displays on mast bracket
Electrical upgrades including new batteries, lighting, toilets, pumps, macerator, shower sumps and water sensors
Partially rebuilt engine (2023)
New Echo Marine mattresses and topper (unused)
New anchor winch, switching and chain (unused)
New Eno two-burner gas stove and oven (unused)
This is the desirable three-cabin layout, offering two aft double cabins serviced by a shared head, and a generous forward owner's cabin with private ensuite. The saloon features a comfortable U-shaped dinette, while the L-shaped galley is well equipped with a top-opening fridge, twin stainless steel sinks and ample storage.
On deck, she is set up for easy cruising with a North Sails fully battened Dacron mainsail with boom bag and lazy jacks, and a North Sails genoa on a Profurl furler. A Bimini and dodger with infill provide protection from the elements, while a full suite of Raymarine instruments, including autopilot, supports short-handed sailing. Her dyform standing rigging was replaced in 2019, and a new Profurl C430 furler was installed.
First Priority will suit buyers seeking a straightforward, comfortable cruiser that still delivers strong sailing performance--whether around the racecourse or simply getting from point A to B.
