Welcome aboard this stylish Beneteau Oceanis 34 designed by the renowned Finot-Conq. Makani is a beautiful vessel that is just as comfortable for entertaining, cruising or racing in the twilights, the design is so versatile. Beneteau listened to the market when it engaged Finot-Conq to design a yacht that blended comfort, space and performance.
Makani is a very lightly used example that has been well prepared for both local and offshore cruising; she presents as new and is the perfect family cruising vessel.
Stepping below, Makani is bright and airy, with a great sense of space and a beautifully simplistic design that is as warm and comfortable as it looks. There is an L-shaped chef's galley with twin sinks to port; the gas stove and oven look as if they have barely been used. Aft of the galley is the owner's private cabin with a huge transverse double. To starboard of the companionway is the large head and shower. The main saloon has a central drop-leaf table with an L-shaped settee to port and a settee to starboard; the settees could be used as extra berths if required. The saloon with the table raised would easily seat seven of the hungriest crew. Forward of the saloon is a large double v-berth with lots of storage in cupboards and under the bunk. Makani has plenty of opening ports.
On deck, Makani has an opening transom to allow easy access to the dock or the dinghy, but with the transom closed, she feels safe and secure in the well-laid-out cockpit. The binnacle holds the Triton 2 and Vulcan MFD, and the sheet winches are within easy reach; stepping forward, the halyards and main furling lines come to hand for easy single-handing. On deck, the side decks are clear and easy to walk around on; everything is well laid out. Makani benefits from an in-mast furling mainsail and a furling headsail, meaning that you don't have to leave the cockpit to raise, lower or reef the sails.
Makani is powered by the ever-reliable Yanmar 3YM 30 HP diesel engine, which has been expertly maintained and has only 700 hours since new. Makani has 240V shore power as well as the 12v system, and there are two solar panels on the bimini.
If you are looking for a modern, stylish European yacht that has the interior volume of some much larger craft, Makani could be the yacht for you. She is a very lightly used 2010 model that has very low engine hours, and she really does present well. Makani is well equipped with all of the safety gear, the dinghy, and the outboard. The sails are in excellent condition, and the electronics have been upgraded to B&G.
