Designed and built by Master craftsman Dennis Witt (renowned for creating superb violins and cellos), this delightful 24ft timber yacht is sure to impress! This strongly constructed vessel features Oregon stringers, Huon Pine deadwood and floor beams, and Queensland Maple Ply planks. This vessel has been lovingly maintained by fastidious owners over the years, and presents in excellent condition throughout. Whether you are looking for a first yacht, twilight racer, or simply a traditional yacht full of charm to enjoy cruising the stunning waters of Southern Tasmania, this is a yacht that does it all in style!
The interior of this vessel really has to be seen to be fully appreciated, and the quality of the original build is immediately evident. All surfaces are beautifully varnished, and the vessel has a clean and warm feel. To starboard is the galley. This is well equipped with freshwater hand pump and stainless steel sink, a 2 burner metho stove, and clever storage solutions. Opposite is the private bathroom fitted with a manual toilet. Forward there are two single berths complete with a privacy curtain to separate this space from the saloon. There are also two single berths in the saloon which extend below the cockpit sole.
On deck, the vessel has a well set up cockpit with all controls in easy reach. All lines are lead back to the cabin top making it easily managed single or shorthanded. The deck presents in good condition with a non-slip surface through out. The vessel is also equipped with a spinnaker, ideal for the more experienced sailor or those who enjoy racing.
This vessel is powered by a well maintained Stuart Turner P6D 5HP Inboard Petrol Engine. This again is immaculately presented and provides easy and economical cruising at 5 knots.
This stunning vessel has been well loved throughout its life, cruised extensively, and even used as a part time live-aboard. It represents an excellent opportunity to turn your sailing dreams into reality for a minimal investment. For more information please call Jo Breen on
