Colvin 13m Schooner, built circa 1980 and loved by the original owner is now for sale exclusively with DBY Boat Sales.
Information on the inventory is quite limited due to the owner's declining health, hence the significantly low price to purchase "as is".
A Ford Lister "air cooled" engine was originally installed for reliable, economical, simplicity and ease of maintenance. It has hardly been used. Antifoul and general maintenance have been strictly kept up to scratch via Bayview Marina every year. She is currently a gaff rigged schooner and the sail wardrobe is around 5 years old. The standing rigging age is unknown but expected to be 10 +.
The layout is a large salon area in the middle of the yacht, accessed by the forward companionway. Once below, the galley is equipped with a SMEV 3 burner stovetop and oven on the starboard side overlooking a countertop towards the salon table area. The salon has 2 large L shaped lounges which could also be used as single bunks. Forward is a private V berth with large ensuite. In the middle of the yacht is the engine room which can be accessed from forward or aft cabins. The rear cabin supports a large queen sized bed sleeping east/west plus an ensuite. The two cabins are therefore very far apart from each other which gives plenty of privacy and segregation. The deck space above is cavernous for a yacht of this length and very easy to move around on.
There are numerous items that need small amounts of work/attention, to fully complete, such as some basic plumbing to be hooked up and some wiring but essentially, it's all there. A comprehensive amount of tools and spare parts are included to complete the works.
This is an opportunity to buy a floating home that could easily become a serious steel passage maker to any part of the globe.
She has spent all of her time in Pittwater and with some upgrades, is ready to go bluewater or rest forever in a bay somewhere as a stable home on the water.
A lot of boat for a small price tag.
