
'Quiver' is a classic contemporary yacht designed & builtin South Australia by Mr. Rob Lane. The yacht's classic lines reveal an artistry & elegance which has drawn theeye no matter where she has sailed. Quiver has the quintessential lines of a vintage yacht but with the underwater configuration of a modern sea-going vessel.
The yacht's natural grace is further enhanced with asolid teak handrail & bulwark cap. The sailboat's interiorboasts quality woodwork with the detail in keeping withher classic appearance.
Launched at Adelaide Marina in 2010/11, she is of modern composite construction, with a Balsa cored deck that is built intact with no seams, no joins, a one piece moulding! She has a West Epoxy hull (Epoxy & glass both inside & out over 28mm western red cedar). She is built to optimum safety standards as per commercial charter requirements according to the USL shipping code.
The initial survey for insurance purposes & valuation was completed by marine architect & surveyor Mr. Howard Peachy. The inspection notes which appear below are from a recent updated survey in 2018.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The sailboat is of classic round bilged single screw design, rigged as a mast head sloop. Quiver has a trunk cabin, with raised doghouse in way of the galley & adeep & roomy but fast-emptying cockpit & large timber steering wheel (SS centred). Underwater, the yacht hasa fin lead keel fitted with a spade rudder, the rudder shaft having an 83mm diameter. Her mast is keel-stepped.
CONSTRUCTION AND SURVEY
Construction of the hull is strip-planked Western Red Cedar (28mm) sandwich with 2200 grams per square metre of Triaxial fiberglass on the outside & 1600 GSMof triaxial fiberglass on the inside. The fiberglass is setin epoxy resin. The deck & cabin top are Balsa cored with a total 6350 GSM of fibre-glass in polyester resin. Scantlings: 900mm x 230mm Jarrah floors spaced at450 mm centres & glassed in way of the ballast keel. Longtitudinal girders 64mm x 180mm glassed in are fitted either side of the centerline. The yacht's plans were approved by the Department for Transport Energy and Infrastructure as complying with the USL Code for commercial vessels, with the construction, according to the plans, and being regularly inspected by the Department's surveyors. The construction integrity of hull and deck as well as all calculations and scantlings accompanying the plans were approved by the Department's naval architect and signed off by their shipwright inspector.
This stunning vessel is now available at a heavily reduced price to reflect heat damage sustained by a fire near by, the vessel presents incredible well with the heat damage being visible in the photos supplied, all inspections welcome, the damage looks to be some paint bubbling, port hole warping, main sail and boom bag replacement required (Damaged 2025 Clear PPSR)
