Designed by renowned naval architect Peter Cole, the Eastcoast 31 has earned an outstanding reputation for its impressive sailing performance, robust build quality, and well appointed interiors. With a generous beam, high ballast ratio, and genuine offshore capability, the Eastcoast 31 delivers a reassuring combination of stability, safety, and comfort - even in challenging conditions. This proven design has an enviable racing pedigree, claiming victories in major events including the Australian Half Ton Championship, Brisbane to Gladstone, Lord Howe Island Race, and the Half Ton divisions of both the Sydney to Hobart and Melbourne to Hobart. Boasting this impressive track record, the Eastcoast 31 remains highly sought after, offering true versatility. Whether competing in twilight races, enjoying coastal cruising, or serving as a comfortable liveaboard, these yachts excel across the board. "Kalimna" is an excellent example of the design and has been under the same experienced ownership since launch. During this time the owners have cruised extensively including from Hobart to Bowen and back, multiple trips around the Bass Strait islands, and 14 trips to Port Davey on Tasmania's rugged South West Coast.
