Eureka 10.4 Sports -Affordable & well-equipped 2-hander Racer-Cruiser

Fast. Responsive. Ready for Adventure... Designed by renowned Australian yacht designer Ben Lexen, the Eureka 10.4 Sports delivers an exciting combination of performance, practicality and cruising comfort. A true "pocket rocket", 'Blew Away' is a superbly equipped and thoughtfully upgraded yacht ideally suited to sailors seeking fast, responsive sailing without sacrificing comfort and versatility.

Originally moulded in Sydney and completed in Newcastle, 'Blew Away' features a professionally retrofitted open transom with sugar-scoop stern and integrated boarding steps, significantly enhancing cockpit access and functionality.

With her fractional rig, fin keel and responsive helm, the Eureka 10.4 Sports offers an excellent balance between spirited performance and easy handling. Equally at home club racing, short-handed coastal passages or enjoying weekends away with family and friends, she represents a genuine dual-purpose yacht capable of punching well above her weight.

Below decks, accommodation is bright, practical and surprisingly spacious, with sleeping arrangements for up to six crew (if racing), an enclosed marine toilet, cockpit shower, functional galley and ample storage for extended cruising.

'Blew Away' was set up to compete in the the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race and remains fully equipped for coastal cruising and coastal racing including near-new liferaft, comprehensive safety equipment and an extensive sail inventory. Recent upgrades include new rigging, new dodger and bimini, modernised electronics, a Raymarine Axiom chartplotter mounted on a custom stainless-steel steering console, and numerous improvements designed to enhance both sailing performance and onboard comfort.

Sometimes compared to larger performance cruiser-racers such as the Northshore 33 and Sydney 36, the Eureka Sports 10.4 offers remarkable value, delivering exciting sailing characteristics, offshore capability and comfortable accommodation in a manageable and economical package.

Presentation
Remarks
Broker Comments:
This is a very tidy and well maintained yacht with excellent coastal cruising and racing equipment. Several significant additions and modifications have been professionally completed in recent years to ensure this yacht is safe and strong and fit for coastal racing and cruising conditions. Great sized cockpit (similar to that of a Sydney 38). 'Blew Away' is a very tidy and well presented yacht. She would suit two handed sailing and racing crews - but with a large a roomy cockpit for crews of six or more. She would be equally well suited to fun-loving adventurous types for exhilliarating weekend sailing and/or affordable coastal cruising.

Background History:
Ben Lexen designed the Eureka in the 1980's. Some 8 or 9 were made at the factory (Sydney)) before he passsed away. The original design was modified (reduced) to a 9.8m yacht with sugar scoops often added by owners. In 2005 this 'newer' Eureka boat was built in Newcastle using the original mould extended to meet the original design @ 10.4m. The transom step was a new addition to the original design and the tiller on 'Blew Away' was replaced with a wheel.
