'Taloha is a well equipped 2007 Hanse 470e, a proven 47-foot performance cruiser combining sleek European styling with true offshore capability. The "e" in 470e stands for epoxy, offering a lighter, stiffer, and more durable hull compared to standard polyester construction. This results in better performance and longevity and more security for her owners in heavy seas. Under sail, 'Taloha' is beautifully responsive on the helm, easily tacked and she excels in light airs.
The desirable Owner's version 3-cabin layout includes a bright, elegant saloon with generous dining and lounge spaces, a spacious master suite with private head, and two comfortable aft cabins sharing a separate central head. The forward-facing L-shaped galley is thoughtfully arranged with ample storage, quality appliances, and Corian surfaces, making life aboard both stylish and functional.
'Taloha' spent the earlier portion of her life in the protected waters of Pittwater where she was Club raced for several years, Recently her third owner spent considerable months and expense equipping her for extended coastal cruising. The owner chose the Hanse 470e for the comfortable and stylish interior and the advantages of a self-tacking jib, electric winches, with all lines leading aft; all of which make the yacht manageable for short-handed and solo sailing.
Designed for long-distance cruising, the Hanse 470e is robust, with a stiff 'epoxy' hull, deep keel, and quality hardware for bluewater passagemaking. Thanks to the rigidity in her hull build and design, she is very suited to heavier conditions - which is what she has been prepared for in recent times. Her epoxy construction delivers a strong, responsive hull, complemented by new standing and running rigging, a self-tacking jib, electric winches, and centralised controls that make short-handed sailing effortless. The large, uncluttered cockpit doubles as a fantastic entertaining space, with upgraded canvas, a folding table, wide seating, and an inviting swim platform.
Among the many recent upgrades include a Victron power management system, 680W solar array, new batteries, modern navigation electronics, fresh antifoul, and a low-hour Yanmar engine with new sail drive and new anchor windlass and controls. Many more upgrades are listed below and highlited further in the attached exclusive brochure and accompanying video.
