The iconic Nautor Swan 44 MKII is widely regarded as one of German Frers' most admired and successful offshore cruising designs, combining unmatched saling performance and enduring appeal for both cruisers and collectors. Vistali's originality and elegant presentation are a testament to the pedigree of this traditinal style Swan 44.
Immaculately presented and carefully maintained by devoted owners, Vistali represents a rare opportunity to acquire a yacht of true pedigree. Designed for serious offshore sailing yet refined for luxurious cruising, she delivers remarkable balance at the helm, impressive upwind capability, and the quiet confidence only a Swan can offer.
Vistali presents as an outstanding, never-raced, cruising Swan 44 MKII. Her condition and originality make her one of the most attractive examples in Australia.
Powered by a 55hp Volvo Penta saildrive delivering economical and reliable performance, Vistali cruises comfortably between 6-7kts under power and easily exceeds 7kts under sail. Electrical systems have been updated, including a new AGM house bank and starter battery, LED lighting throughout, dual alternators and shore power, ensuring dependable autonomy while retaining uncomplicated systems.
Her sailing inventory has been carefully maintained, highlighted by a new mainsail in 2023, complemented by multiple headsails and a cruising gennaker. The Nautor mast and boom are paired with rod rigging last replaced in 2015 and professionally inspected in 2023, while Navtec hydraulic systems were serviced in 2024, including replacement of the hydraulic vang.
Below deck, the classic Swan two-cabin, two-head layout provides generous accommodation for four, with additional capacity in the saloon. Cream leather upholstery, original Nautor blue mattresses and abundant storage create a calm, refined interior environment, supported by air-conditioning and diesel heating for year-round comfort. Every aspect of Vistali reflects careful stewardship, making her a yacht that is not only admired, but genuinely ready to be sailed and enjoyed.
To own a Swan is a privilege. To own 'Vistali' is something rarer still.
Vistali will appeal to the experienced sailor who values pedigree, craftsmanship and understated elegance. She is not a yacht for everyone, nor should she be. She is a yacht for those who appreciate traditional lines, uncomplicated systems and the quiet confidence of a true offshore design that defines a Nautor Swan.
