Hick 40

A 40-footer that you can choose to race with the number of crew that suit you. Optioned in recent years for double-handed racing it's very up to date having completed the most recent Hobart Race. As you would expect everything was carefully optioned and checked in advance of this, so this is the opportunity to take advantage of a turnkey package.

Sails consist of a 2022 3-reef Doyle Carbon main on cars with a Ronstan track fitted that year, Doyle 2022 Carbon J1 reefable, Doyle 2022 Carbon furling heavy weather jib and J5, Doyle 2024 Assy, MH Assy, A5, fractional Code 0 and storm sails.

The mast is Carbon, rigging is Rod and was replaced in 2022 with another mast out check in May 2025. The hydraulic backstay was serviced in December 2025. There is a Carbon bowsprit with twin tacklines (New in 2023) and a Carbon whisker pole.

Instrumentation is B&G H5000 with a cockpit display and Zeus MFD/Plotter in the cockpit. Autopilot control between the twin helms, a Superb Nemesis display on the mast and there is AIS, VHF, Sailor Sat phone and also a hand held Iridium available.

Down below are six pipecots and 4 settee berths, a nav' station is on the centreline aft of the engine, the galley has a custom twin jet boil gimballed cooker, and icebox and 4-wheel drive style 12v fridge, and there is a manual toilet forward.
