
The Jeanneau 53 is a supurb bluewater cruising yacht from the hugely experienced Philippe Briand design office with all of the key elements to make distance cruising a joyful experience. "Miss Foxy" is based in Singapore and Langkawi registered and has cruised extensively covering nearly 12,000 miles around SE Asia under its current ownership.
The fastidious owner has had the yacht maintained to a high standard with constant updates and servicing to ensure that the yacht is trouble-free and ready to voyage at any time.
Electric primary winches, a Targa davit system with solar, bow-thruster and furling Code 1 plys assy spinnaker in a sock make for ease of handling and manouvering, while the huge cockpit is protected by a spraydodger and long bimini. There is also a large climb down bow-locker for the offwind sails and other bulky items.
Down below the saloon is expansive with an L-shaped galley to port with lots of counter space and fridge & freezer, while opposite is a proper nav' station with full sized forward facing chart table. Forward of that is a U-shaped dinette with a bench seat opposite under which a hidden drinks cabinet folds out..
The full-width master cabin is aft with an ensuite with dedicated shower stall, while twin guest cabins with ensuites are forward. These guest cabins also have single berths above the doubles for occasional additional sleeping capacity.
The interior is fully air-conditioned and powered by an Onan Gen-set, there is the optional second fuel tank and large water capacity, though there is also a watermaker for extended cruising. The yacht is powered by a Yanmar 110hp with shaft drive and a 3-blade Gori prop with overdrive to extend range.
Intrumentation is B&G and was replaced in 2023 and includes twin autopilots, a Zeus plotter (aft of the cockpit table), AIS transceiver, radar and multi displays. The yacht is equipped with iridium GO offering global offshore texting/email and internet access.
This is the opportunity to take delivery from Singapore and perhaps head North to explore the Malaysian coast to Thailand and the superb cruising grounds in the region of Phuket, before heading back South to explore the extraordinary cruising grounds across the Indonesian archipelago on the delivery to Australia, or the Pacific.
