Lightwave 45 Grande

"Tu Kanu" is a beautifully presented Lightwave 45' sailing catamaran, launched in May 2016 and located in New Zealand, north of Auckland. Designed and built in Australia by Lightwave Yachts to a very high standard, she is very well equipped with low hours and is meticulously maintained. A rare and remarkable find, Tu Kanu will suit a new buyer or a discerning buyer who appreciates quality craftsmanship.

The layout is the 3-cabin, two-bathroom model with the galley to starboard and the larger open saloon. The master cabin is port-aft with its spacious bathroom forward. The guest cabin is starboard-forward and includes an ensuite, while the third cabin has two single beds that can convert to a queen size bed. The galley includes a convection steam oven and gas hotplates, upright 190L fridge/freezer, and substantial storage with 11 drawers plus servery. Up in the saloon are high gloss timber tops and a table to seat 6.

The interior timber is high gloss European Beech with a very stylish edge detail, a Jarrah timber inlay. A unique feature is a sliding door to separate the master cabin, so the whole port hull is private from the saloon.

It is a highly spec'd vessel with standard spec upgrades including Lithium batteries and 960 watts of rooftop walk-on solar panels, 75hp engines with 4 blade folding props, 5kVA genset, 190L/hr 240 volt water maker, Iridium GO for communications, front loading washing machine, along with underwater blue lights and 40kg Rocna anchor.

Also included on this vessel are some personal choice upgrades such as a nine-speaker stereo upgrade, electronic throttles plus a wired remote throttle, and a hinged opening clear glass front window at the helm station with windscreen wiper & freshwater rinsing! Electric flush toilets for both heads. Hydronic diesel heater for air and hot water heating. The owner has also increased the side rails to 900mm high, and added a long list of personalised touches such as custom cupboard locks and interior handrails.

INCLUDED IN SALE: This vessel is well equipped and will be sold with all items on board. Tu Kanu has been meticulously detailed and presents in exceptional condition, with all original vessel documentation, new flares and safety equipment.

Because of its location, we have had a detailed buyer's survey conducted by a leading NZ surveyor that is available on request.
