Renowned for their offshore capability, strong build, and private aft cabin, its little wonder why the Manitou 32 remains such a highly sought after cruiser. Easily sailed by a novice, they suit anyone from a first yacht buyer, through to the experienced sailor wanting to fulfil their most ambitious cruising aspirations. Built of solid hand-laid fibreglass, the vessel also features an integral shallow draft long keel, ideal for exploring remote locations. Barook is an excellent example of the design, and with its stunning recently painted white hull, is sure to turn heads where ever it pulls into port! Freshly antifouled in May 2025, Barook is ready to enjoy!
Stepping inside, the charming interior has a light and airy ambience. With light timber trims, clean white finishes and fresh upholstery, it is great space to relax at the end of a days sailing. The accommodation is ideal for family cruising, with the private aft cabin accessed from the cockpit complete with double berth and storage.
Outside, the cockpit is deep and safe, providing excellent security in challenging conditions. The cabin top extends to provide excellent protection from the elements, much like having a hard spray dodger. Easily sailed shorthanded, all lines are lead aft to the cabin top, and both the mainsheet and primary winches are in easy reach of the helm. Barook is also fully equipped with VHF Radio, HF, Foruno sounder and Log, Raymarine Chartplotter and Autopilot. For extended offshore cruising Barook also features near new Flemming wind vane self steering. The hull was resprayed in Awlgrip and the seacocks were all replaced in 2018
Barook has been repowered with a Nanni (Kubota) 21 HP engine that has done only 850 hours. This provides easy and economical cruising at 5 knots. There is also excellent access to the engine bay for hassle free servicing.
