The Bavaria 42 C is a much sought after twin helm family cruiser and club racer. Northern Moment is one of the last of the C series - has been highly optioned, well maintained. She has been cruising in Asia fulltime since 2022
She is a spacious cruiser with generous head-room and plenty of accommodation for the whole family, with three separate double-berth cabins and twin heads. She is very stable and safe - being a J and J design to European CE certification cat A - Ocean - this covers largely self-sufficient boats designed for extended voyages with winds of over Beaufort Force 8 (over 40 knots). In addition she is safety equipped to Aust. Sailing CAT 3 - off shore races across open waters. She was heavily optioned from new - including additional water tanks, upgraded anchor winch, upgraded and additional winches, and cam clutches, spray dodger, bimini, BBQ, side gates, and spinnaker fit out. Of recent times this has been expanded to include life raft, dinghy, outboard, solar panels, inverter, microwave oven, engine instrumentation, and duplication of sailing, communication, and safety equipment.
