The Oceanic 46 Quiet Achiever has undergone a complete keel up, inside and out restoration taking more than 4 years at a cost of over $700k and completed in November 2022. The yacht has only been lightly used since she was relaunched and has been lovingly maintained. Her annual maintenance including antifoul, polish and engine service was completed in November 2025. Quiet Achiever is a testament to the amazing craftsmen that skillfully completed this restoration with patience and care. Quiet Achiever is a work of art and in perfect seagoing condition and actually presenting better than new. Originally designed by Jack Savage for his world circumnavigation, she has a solid fibreglass hull with an integral (not bolt on) lead filled fin keel drawing 1.77 m for stability upwind and deep skeg hung rudder for absolute control in any conditions. Her moderate 3.91m beam makes her a very efficient hull so she easily reaches at 7.5-8.5 kts. She has a deep centre cockpit to maximize protection of her crew at sea. The beautifully built solid dodger and hard bimini covering the cockpit and helm is a haven during a passage. The cockpit is designed and set up for single handed sailing. Circumnavigating the world doing 180 + mile days will be achievable with this cruising yacht. She is superbly set up with quality equipment throughout.

The restoration was extensive with everything being replaced with new equipment and is far too much to list. More than $700k in receipts can be provided. Some of the major works include a complete refurbishment of the hull inside and out including a new rudder. Extensive modifications were made to the interior to accommodate integral stainless steel water tanks with 500L capacity. The galley was beautifully rebuilt to accommodate a large eutectic fridge freezer and improve storage space. The internal floor/sole was removed and all structural members strengthened and rebuilt to accommodate a new compression post for a brand new deck mounted rig supplied by Allyacht Spars Australia. The exterior is finished in a stunning high gloss 2 Pac and the interior is finished in a satin 2 Pac with all of the solid teak finishes replaced or refinished. Every hatch and window was replaced. New stainless stanchions, pulpit, davit system, solar panel frame, pushpits, bow roller structure, and chainplates were installed. A new Allyacht Spars Australia rig was fitted. All steering components were replaced including helm pedestal and folding helm. All winches were replaced with new Hutton winches. All new deck hardware. New Hutton anchor winch and control. New Vetus bow thruster.

Quiet Achiever was completely rewired with every electrical system and component replaced at a cost of more than $120k (every wire & electrical item new). A full complement of Raymarine's latest equipment was installed. Her substantial solar array charging 800 amp hour Victron Lithium ion house batteries makes her completely power independent, and her 3000 watt Victron inverter/charger provides 240 v on demand to run the 240 litre p/h water maker, microwave and other 240v appliances as required. Saloon seating for 8 on her plush grey leather upholstery is very comfortable and she can sleep up to 6 crew in her two double cabins plus two singles in the saloon. The L- shaped galley to port amidships is beautifully finished and equipped with custom made deep twin stainless sinks, pressure hot water, carbon filtered water, loads of cupboard and locker space, microwave, 3 burner Force 10 gas stove and grill (with gas compliance), and large eutectic freezer for extended cruising. Also fitted with combination washer/dryer.

On deck she has all brand new sails controlled from the cockpit, including a single line reefing system for easier and safer mainsail handling. The design and placement of all controls in the cockpit have been considered for a single handed circumnavigation. The new mainsail and genoa are made of Contender cruising Laminate in cool grey and are manufactured in Tri Radial cuts. The downwind sail is an asymmetric spinnaker and is made of Contender Nylon with a squeezer. She comes with a staysail on a removable forestay and the sail is hanked on. The staysail is used in good condition.

This is an easy to manage, go anywhere Australian built cruising yacht that is an immensely strong build with a solid fibreglass hull and composite heavily laid deck. She has great performance and reaches at around 8kts + in 16 kts of wind and points 40 degrees doing 6 kts upwind with a clean bottom, depending on sea condition.
She is powered by a Yanmar 75 hp Yanmar turbo diesel with S60 saildrive and a new Flexofold prop. Engine was fitted in 2014 and has approx 1700 hours use.
